Prince Charles Finally Gets to Meet his Fourth Grandson

Mirror News Desk

Prince Charles

Almost two weeks after the royal baby Archie’s birth, Grandfather Prince Charles finally gets an opportunity to meet his grandson. Being the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Cornwall and Rothesay, Prince Charles has been serving the heir apparent to the British Monarchy since 1952.

During the birth of the royal baby, Prince Charles was in Germany because of busy schedules and royal appointments. As a result, he missed the opportunity to see the newly born baby soon after his birth. He congratulated his son Prince Harry and daughter-in-law Meghan Markle for becoming father and mother.

Charles’ former wife Princess Diana was largely missed on the auspicious occasion, who faced a tragic death in a car crash at Paris tunnel in 1997. Harry was very close to his mother and her death had a devastating impact on his mental and physical health. He missed her mother on various occasions.

In Princess Diana’s honour after her death, Harry involved his mother’s sisters in major decisions of his life. About two years ago, he even let his Aunts meet his would-be spouse Meghan ahead of their engagement. During his wedding, he invited his aunt Lady Jane to give a reading, treating her equally as his mother.

Recently, Harry also invited Diana’s whole family in his baby’s official birth announcement. Lady Jane was one of the firsts to meet the royal baby post his birth. Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also visited the baby earlier this week.

Little Archie has already met his maternal grandmother Doria Ragland and paternal great grandparents Prince Philip and Elizabeth II. He is the first multiracial, half-American child born in the immediate royal family.

The patients describing Harry’s happiness on becoming a father appreciated his recent visit to Children’s Hospital in Oxford.

Prince Charles visited the Frogmore Cottage to meet the newborn Archie for the first time. The 70-year-old is the next eligible king to the throne.

Prince William and Kate Aim to Empower Pakistanis During Royal Tour

Mirror News Desk

Prince William

Days after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s 10-day African tour ended, the Duke of Sussex’s elder brother Prince William embarked a tour to Pakistan with his wife Kate Middleton. This is the second ever tour of the royals to the South Asian country. Earlier, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall visited Pakistan in 2006.

Marking the start of their five-day royal tour to Pakistan, both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge landed from the British Government’s Royal Air Force Voyager plane at the Air Force Base Nur Khan in Rawalpindi, just outside the capital Islamabad on Monday evening.

Upon their arrival, the royal couple was gladly welcomed by the Pakistani officials and met Pakistan’s British High Commissioner Thomas Drew. Unlike Prince William, who wore a proper suit, Kate arrived in an inspiring look while fitting in to the Pakistani tradition, wearing a stunning aqua blue shalwar kameez alongside nude heels.

Considering the political histories that have often led to security concerns in Pakistan, the royal sources have been calling it the most complex royal tour ever.

The records suggest that Pakistan has the highest population growth rate in the world, which has drenched the country’s economy into poverty. Lack of family planning is the major reason behind such poor conduct. Its major cities and urban centres are home to an estimated 1.2 million street children, which includes beggars and scavengers, who are often very young.

While children are vulnerable to contracting STDs such as HIV/AIDS, as well as other diseases in Pakistan, the country is also a home to a large feudal landholding system where landholding families hold thousands of acres and do little work on the agriculture themselves.

Taking into account all the weaknesses and how it has affected the growth rate in Pakistan, Prince William’s recent royal tour aims to strengthen the UK-Pakistan relations.

The couple’s visit would focus on programs meant for empowering young people, while providing access to quality education, particularly to girls and young women in Pakistan.

In order to spend more time with Pakistani children to know their aspirations in life, the royal couple visited a government-run college in Islamabad on Tuesday. Since, mental health awareness is the rising chant of the royals, who have been supporting this initiative throughout the UK, Prince William spoke about mental health in Pakistan.

The post day activities included the couple’s visit to the Margalla Hills National Park in the foothills of the Himalayas. Later, they ate lunch with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan. While in the evening, the couple is expected to attend a reception with guests from Pakistan’s business, music and film industries, as well as members of the government.

In the days ahead, both Prince William and Kate will head to Lahore and later to the mountains of the north and the western border.

Media Initiated WAGs War between Rebekah Vardy, Coleen Rooney Pulls in Husbands too

Mirror News Desk

Rebekah Vardy

The controversy between footballer Jamie Vardy’s wife Rebekah Vardy and footballer Wayne Rooney’s wife Coleen Rooney has become the latest source of entertainment for Britons, while the UK continues to endure the ordeal of the Brexit and the possibilities of a general election.

On Saturday, 37-year-old Rebekah, who is seven months pregnant, was seen struggling to hold back her tears at the Heathrow Airport while returning from a family trip in Dubai.

The WAG war has been successful in dragging the husbands too, after the 32-year-old Leicester City striker, Jamie unfollowed Wayne from his Instagram account.

The controversy started with Coleen Rooney accusing Rebekah Vardy of leaking her private stories to ‘The Sun’ via Instagram. Following the accusations, Rebekah said that Coleen should have notified her about such instances as “various people have had access” to her Insta account.

The common point amidst all the controversies that have made news lately is the media tabloid The Sun. Apart from being involved in the controversy surrounding Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney, the tabloid is also facing charges of phone hacking brought forward by Prince Harry.

Recently, the tabloid also investigated and published the fateful event in the family history of cricketer Ben Stokes. The story faced criticism not only from the cricketer, but from his fans too.

Sources close to the Leicester City striker said, “Jamie has always got on well with Wayne, but he won’t stand for having his wife hung out to dry in public like this.”

On the other hand, another friend in response to the controversy said, “He’s totally behind Becky and furious with the Rooneys for the way they have gone about this. He and Wayne always got on well and he likes him. But he has made his feelings clear. Cutting him off on social media is a totally deliberate snub.”

The controversy and the accusations might negatively impact Rebekah Vardy’s relations with other celebrities and friends in the sports community. According to a PR expert, post the accusations by Coleen, Rebekah would need to work on regaining the trust of other celebrities and friends in the sports community.

The expert even claimed that to stop her image from worsening further, she should take complete time-out, allow the investigation to place quietly and refrain from commenting in media, while dealing this “personally with Coleen”.

A Pregnant Rebekah Returns Sobbing to UK Following Feud with Coleen

Mirror News Desk

Last updated on October 14th, 2019

Rebekah Vardy – the wife of Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy – cut short her Dubai holiday to return home. This happened following accusations of making life a living hell by author Coleen Rooney – a spat that looks on course to multiply.

Rebekah Vardy, who is 8 months pregnant, looked utterly dismayed and was in floods of tears as she arrived in the UK.

Coleen, who has been nicknamed Wagatha Christie said, Rebekah leaked stories about her to a national newspaper. The former in order to affirm also setup a trap by putting fake stories on her private Instagram account, and changed the settings so only Rebekah’s account could see them.

Coleen-Rebekah Feud

When her fake news leaked, Coleen Rooney opened up on her Instagram and said that it was “Rebekah Vardy’s account” who had been passing on her private information.

Rooney said in a statement: “For a few years now someone who I trusted to follow me on my personal Instagram account has been consistently informing the Sun newspaper of my private posts and stories. There has been so much information given to them about me, my friends and my family – all without my permission or knowledge.”

Rebekah, who is pregnant with her and Jamie Vardy’s third child, denied the claim and expressed she was “disgusted”. As reported, Jamie’s wife cut short her trip to hire forensic IT experts to prove that it wasn’t her who leaked the stories.

As she landed at Heathrow airport, Rebekah wiped tears from her eyes while walking hand-in-hand with her husband. However, a spokesperson for Coleen said: “It is irrefutable that the leaks came from one account, and one account only.”

Yet after all that was said from one side, Rebekah hit back on the claims. She wrote: “As I have just said to you on the phone, I wish you had called me if you thought this. I never speak to anyone about you as various journalists who have asked me to over the years can vouch for.”

Adding, “If you thought this was happening you could have told me & I could have changed my passwords to see if it stopped. Over the years’ various people have had access to my insta & just this week I found I was following people I didn’t know and have never followed myself.”

She went ahead and also billed that she would gain nothing from selling stories on her, and that she liked her, but is upset with the path she chose, especially when she is pregnant.

It is unrealistic to predict where Coleen-Rebekah feud heads next, but we lest know that both parties have had their say in the matter and nothing looks much conclusive as yet.

60s’ Hit Drummer and Cream’s Co-Founder Ginger Baker Dead at 80

Mirror News Desk

Ginger Baker

The famous English drummer and rock band Cream’s co-founder, Ginger Baker, died on Sunday at the age of 80. The sad news was confirmed by his daughter Nettie, who gave no other details about his death.

Earlier on September 25, Baker’s family had disclosed that he was critically ill and admitted in the hospital. While being deeply saddened by Baker’s death, his family tweeted, “We are very sad to say that Ginger has passed away peacefully in hospital this morning.”

Ginger Baker, who started drumming as a teenager, was inspired by his father’s letter, which the latter wrote to him before he was killed during the World War II. At the age of four, the letter, which quoted, “Use your fists; they’re your best pals so often”, had a huge impact on Baker’s life as he dedicated his life to music.

Through his fusion of jazz and African rhythms, Baker took the world music to a different level. He teamed up with Eric Clapton and Bruce in 1960s for the setup of Cream, which earned him the reputation of “rock’s first superstar drummer”. Some of the trios together hits included, “Sunshine of Your Love,” “I Feel Free” and “White Room.”

Even though Cream was split in late 1970s, the London native fashioned a pounding poly-rhythmic style, which inspired and intimidated countless musicians. Due to his uncommonly swift and heavy music arrangement, some of Baker’s beats seemed to mirror an offstage eruption of his unlikeness towards one of his bandmates and a documentary maker, with whom he indulged in an onstage abuse. A documentary film “Beware of Mr. Baker” was released on him in 2012.

Despite suffering from arthritis, heart trouble, hearing loss and lung disease due to smoking in 70s, Ginger Baker performed regularly in pursuit of his long-time interest in African music. He spent years in the country, living and recording with a Nigerian multi-instrumentalist and musician Fela Kuti. His collaborations included his works with Gary Moore, Masters of Reality, Public Image Ltd, jazz bassist Charlie Haden, jazz guitarist Bill Frisell and Ginger Baker’s Energy.

Baker’s last album with the quartet Jazz Confusion was released in 2014.

Mourning the loss of Ginger Baker, while thanking his fans for being patient during his tough time, his family member’s tweeted, “Thank you to everyone for your kind words over the past few weeks.” Baker’s fans and friends throughout the country extended their sincere condolences to his family.

Sending their heartfelt condolences, the family of Bruce called Baker “one of the greatest drummers of all time”. They tweeted that Ginger Baker was like an older brother to Jack, their chemistry was truly spectacular. Though the sole survivor of Cream, Eric Clapton is yet to comment on Baker’s death.

Though Ginger Baker’s family has not revealed any details over his death, his fans believe that chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and heavy smoking from the start led to his slow and gradual death.

How Did Princess Diana Drive Prince Harry and Wife to Sue Tabloids?

Mirror News Desk

prince harry and meghan

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and his wife Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, who recently sued Daily Mail publisher, are reportedly suing two other tabloids. As per the CNN report, the royal duo has filed a lawsuit against the owners of The Sun and The Daily Mirror over allegations of phone hacking. Prince Harry lost his mother to an unfortunate car crash in 1997 when her driver was trying to flee paparazzi’s in Paris.

The news broke out after the representative for Buckingham Palace informed that the issue is over “the illegal interception of voicemail messages.” However, it is unclear, which voicemails are the duo referring to.

The news to sue owners comes after Prince Harry in an open letter published on his website said, he was suing The Daily Mail for illegally publishing a private letter from Meghan Markle to her father.

“In addition to their unlawful publication of this private document, they purposely misled you by strategically omitting select paragraphs, specific sentences, and even singular words to mask the lies they had perpetuated for over a year,” Prince Harry wrote of the alleged actions of The Mail.

A spokesperson for the Sun’s parent company, the Rupert Murdoch-owned News Group Newspapers (NGN), told CNN: “We confirm that a claim has been issued by the Duke of Sussex. We have no further comment to make at the current time.”

Although it is not known that hacking allegations range for which period, it can still be established that this is not for the first time that the royal family have taken legal action. In 2005, a story about a Prince Williams injury was published in now non-functioning British tabloid, News of the Word – owned by Rupert Mudroch – promoting allegations from the royal family that their voicemails were being hacked.

In his statement issued earlier this week, Prince Harry went ahead and billed that the media outlets were waging a campaign against Meghan. He also claimed that the treatment was similar to that of her mother, Princess Diana, who died in 1997 when her car crashed in an uneventful chase.

“I’ve seen what happens when someone I love is commoditized to the point that they are no longer treated or seen as a real person,” he said. “I lost my mother and now I watch my wife falling victim to the same powerful forces,” he added.
